Important season information

Firstly thanks to all your understanding to the delayed start to the season. With all the wet weather it’s been a difficult and frustrating time for all. The number 1 priority is to try and get games played. However, the condition of the majority of the fields over the last 6 weeks have prevented games from being played. There’s also been issues with getting some grounds ready. There’s a number of items to clarify and raise
  1. Competition Dates It’s been agreed by the clubs and association that we will still be playing 18 rounds for Saturday games and 17 rounds for Sunday games. All Saturday teams will be scheduled to play on the Monday of the June Long weekend (12th June). The spare weekend included in the Finals series will be used for normal round games. This will not impact on the Final Series. The season has been extended by a week, this means that Grand Finals which where scheduled for Sunday 26th August will now be played on Sunday 3rd September. Refer to the attached file and link for all the revised dates 19 (shirefootball.com.au)
  2. The following will be available to be picked up from the Clubhouse on the first weekend of games Id Cards (U10’s and up) Man of the Match Trophies (U6’s to U11’s) Encouragement Awards (U6’s to U12’s) Rule Books (All grades) Photo Envelopes (U6’s to U16’s)
With the exception of the Id cards these will be available from within the clubhouse. Id Cards will need to be picked up from the canteen. 3. Photos These have been scheduled for Saturday 15th May and Saturday 22nd May. Unfortunately, with all the wet weather it’s looking at the moment that teams will likely be either home or away both weekends. As above envelopes are now available to be picked up. Photo schedule will be sent closer to the time once the draws have been published. If there are any concerns please contact the club. Regards Col Berry, EEFC Secretary
