Club History

Our Club

WELCOME TO OUR CLUBEngadine Eagles Football Club was formed in 1961.

Our founding members were Alex Versigi, Bill Hodges and John Harrington. Our orignal club emblem was designed by Thomas Harrington. Our original (or initial) club strip was a pale blue shirt and white vertical stripes. The pale blue was for the association with the senior Sutherland Soccer Football Club and the stripes and vee-neck were different to any other Shire club at the time. Our first competition year was 1962 in which the club finished the year as Association Club Champions. Women’s soccer was introduced to the Eagles in 1976.

“The Eagles Nest Clubroom was built in 1989-90 as an extension onto the existing canteen. In 2007 the club changed its name to Engadine Eagles Football club and in the same year introduced a new playing strip.”

Engadine Eagles Football Club is a member of the Sutherland Shire Junior Soccer Football Association that includes clubs from Cronulla to Menai (East to West) and from Sylvania to Heathcote (North to South). The association has competitions ranging from the under 6’s up to over 45’s, including women’s division from under 6’s and up.
