EEFC COACHES & MANGERS GUIDELINES
The below guidelines are important to follow and hopefully provide some additional information as to what is required going forward.
Training Guidelines
- Initially training will be confined to 10 people (this includes any support staff eg Coaches, Managers or Assistants) per ¼ of a field. If a team has more than 10 players they will require 2 separate quadrants. Players or Support Staff are unable to move between the 2 groups.
- Social distancing is to be implemented – at least 1.5m between people at all times.
- All training (at this stage) will be focused on just fitness and ball work.
- No person to person contact training drills (Tackling or challenges) to be conducted.
- Heading drills must be minimised and picking up the ball and throw ins must be discouraged.
- Ground Control will be locked so any equipment used will need to be source by yourselves. You should have balls, Bibs and Cones. If you don’t, please contact Deb Dumbrell.
- Handling of any Equipment is to be kept to a minimum.
- All equipment (eg Cones, portable goal posts, balls) should be cleaned after usage.
- Regular breaks are to be provided for the purpose of rehydrating and hand sanitising. - If training bibs are used it’s encouraged that each individual player allocated a bib is to take it home and wash it.
- No social activities are to occur once training has concluded.
- Change rooms will be locked.
- Can you please nominate a preferred date and time as per the attached sheet for training and return to Shared Services. They will collate all responses and advise team allocations. Due to the number of players registered in the club and the number of teams, we will be opening training on a Saturday and Sunday (only daylight hours). All training at this stage will be held at Anzac. We are currently negotiating the use of Heathcote (top field). It’ll be first in best dressed.
- Unless otherwise advised it’ll be assumed all players will be in attendance. It may also be in your best interest to complete the attached ‘Return to Training – Record of Attendance’. Neither the club or the association will specifically be requesting this.
Player Guidelines
- Players are to arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to training commencing.
- Players should be dressed and prepared to train.
- Players are to bring their own clearly labelled drink bottle. No sharing of drink bottles is to be permitted.
- Players are to leave the venue immediately once their training session has concluded. This means get in train and get out, do not hang around and socialise.
- If the player has a fever, cough, fatigue, sore throat or shortness of breath please ensure that they do not come to training if they exhibit any of these symptoms.
General Hygiene Behaviour
- Carry and use hand sanitiser on a regular basis. There will be some available in the toilets.
- If using tissues, place them directly into the bin after use.
- Wash hands frequently with soap and water, before and after eating and after using the toilet.
- No sharing of pens or clip boards, individuals must provide their own.
- Seek to avoid the use of public toilets, however if necessary, ensure hands are washed thoroughly. They should be open on training days.
- Do not touch eye’s nose or mouth if hands are not clean.
- No spitting at any time.
- Do not share drink bottles.
- Practice social distancing maintaining at least 1.5m from others.
- If anyone feels unwell they should stay at home.
Club
- Change rooms will not be open for use.
- Toilets will (or should) be open, please advise if not.
- Soap and hand sanitiser should be available in the toilets, please advise if not.
- Surface areas will be wiped down regularly with anti-bacterial disinfectant where required.
- Provide bins around the ground, mainly clubhouse area.
- Clubhouse will be closed and unavailable for use.
